Using your token
Once you have registered your token, you are ready to start using 2 Factor authentication.
When you log on to Business Online you will be asked for two passwords:
- “Password” is your own password. You decide on this password yourself. If you are an existing operator, your current username and password remain valid.
- “One-time password” is the six-digit code generated by your token. To retrieve your password, push the button once to switch your token on, and then once more to generate the code. Enter this code into the “one-time password” field and you will be ready to start using Business Online.
Please note the following:
- Tokens may only be registered to one operator. You may not lend your token to a colleague or borrow anyone else’s token.
- Your token will be suspended if you enter three incorrect one-time passwords in a row. In the event of a suspension, contact the call centre to have your token resynchronised.
- If you leave your token at home, your one-time passwords can be sent to the cell phone number you provide when you register.
This service is only available for one day, or 10 sessions.
- If your token is lost or stolen, a new token will be sent to you. Your designated person will need to approve the replacement.
